Female Founders To Watch: Google I/O 2012 Edition

Women entrepreneurs speak at Google I/O 2012 about hackathons and designing for inclusion.

Google’s developer conference, Google I/O, wraps up today, culminating 3 days of fly-in demos and $847 worth of free schwag for the attendees. I am putting it on my list to get a press pass for next year… you should go too!

Women 2.0 partnered with Google I/O to assemble the designing for inclusion session featuring a panel of women in tech from entrepreneurs to engineers. We had a full house!

Amy Jo Kim (Co-Founder & CEO, Shufflebrain)
An internationally recognized expert in online social architecture, game designer and bass player Amy Jo Kim co-founded Shufflebrain builds smart games for a connected world. Follow her on Twitter at @amyjokim.

Chiu-Ki Chan (Founder & Developer, Monkey Write)
After being a software engineer for over 6 years at Google and 2 startups, Chiu-ki Chan started her own mobile development company. Her first product is Monkey Write to teach Chinese writing on Android devices. Follow her on Twitter at @chiuki.

Jess Lee (Co-Founder & CEO, Polyvore)
Computer science major and former Google product manager Jess Lee combined her love for fashion and technology by co-founding and running Polyvore as its CEO. Polvore recently raised $14M Series C funding. Follow her on Twitter at @jesskah.

Leah Busque (Founder & CEO, TaskRabbit)
Back by popular demand, TaskRabbit founder Leah Busque resumed her CEO title as it was announced on TechCrunch this week. TaskRabbit allows you to outsource tasks and small jobs, giving you more time to focus on your startup. Follow her on Twitter at @labusque.

Margaret Wallace (Founder & CEO, Playmatics)
Digital media executive and game creator Margaret Wallace founded Playmatics to bring rich games and applications to the Internet, in social media networks, and on a variety of connected gaming and transmedia platforms. Follow her on Twitter at @MargaretWallace.
