Did you know Cisco and Match.com were started by women?
By Angie Chang (Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Women 2.0)
We are excited for a full day of women entrepreneurs, executives and investors gathering on November 14, 2012 in New York City for PITCH NYC Conference & Competition). A whopping 15 speakers are anticipated, with 93% of them women and 40% with engineering backgrounds. Of course, all of the speakers have founded successful startup companies, several of them with million dollar exits!
Along with best practices, case studies and keynote talks from successful women entrepreneurs, we will be watching the finalists from the PITCH NYC 2012 Startup Competition pitch live to judges. Of these 10 top startups, all have at least one female founder, 90% of them have a female CEO and 40% of them have a female CTO (or equivalent). Not too shabby!
Like at our soldout February conference, Women 2.0 welcomes mentors at lunchtime to facilitate connections and learning. 45% of the mentors are investors while 24% are CEOs. There is much experience, money and networking to be gained by attending November 14 in New York City:
