Congrats to Mavatar and co-founder Susan Akbarpour for being selected to present live at the Women 2.0 Conference on February 14 in San Francisco! The ninth startup to be announced out of a total of 10 finalists presenting, Mavatar will be pitching their smart shopping cart that organizes online shopping and saves money.

Mavatar co-founder and CBDO Susan Akbarpour has 15 years of experience building innovative businesses in media, corporate communications and investment. While attending Stanford Graduate School of Business at age 40, she became fascinated with the power of optimization and social data.

Mavatar is an online shopping tool that allows consumers organize items in one cart while seeing the total savings applied automatically to their purchase across all stores. Mavatar searches web and user’s private database for the best promotion(s) and stored values (ie. public, personal, socially shared) relevant to the consumer’s purchases at the item or cart level, determining the total personalized “out the door” price prior to checkout.

Consumers can also use their cart to compare items side by side to evaluate price and style and share coupon and wishlists. This is all available via Mavatar’s free browser add-on and soon-to-be-released iPad application.

Congratulations to the Menlo Park-based Mavatar team for making it to the final round of the PITCH SF 2013 Startup Competition! The 10 finalists will pitching live on February 14 at the Women 2.0 Conference to investors and live audience for prizes in San Francisco.
