“The Next Billion” is the theme for the 2013 Women 2.0 Conference coming up on February 14, 2013 in San Francisco and we will be welcoming a panel of entrepreneurs from Latin America: Linda Franco (Co-Founder & CMO, MACHINA), Sally Buberman (Co-Founder, Wormhole IT) and Vicky Ricaurte (Co-Founder & CEO, UrGiftIn) to discuss current trends in technology and innovation, as well as opportunities for entrepreneurs in emerging markets.

Mexican entrepreneur Linda Franco co-founded MACHINA, a menswear brand that integrates technology into their designs. Linda co-hosted a Founder Friday Mexico City networking mixer last November and graduated from Wayra Mexico.

Meanwhile, Sally Buberman is an entrepreneur from Buenos Aires, Argentina and co-founder of Wormhole IT, a video conference and online education platform. She is a a mentor for other fellow entrepreneurs and frequently judges IT startups competitions.

The final panelist on the emerging markets panel is Vicky Ricaurte, CEO and co-founder of UrGiftIn. The startup was accelerated by Wayra in Colombia and won the MassChallenge INNPulsa Pitch Competition in Boston. Before she started up, Vicky was Vice President of electronic channels, customer service and operations for Latin America at a prestigious Boston-based health insurance company.
