Chick Launcher was formed to build support for early stage growth companies run by women. Chick Launcher connects women building high-growth businesses with the tools and resources they need to achieve success, in a female-friendly environment.
Chick Launcher Annual Entrepreneur Competition for October 2014
The annual Chick Launcher entrepreneur competition provides exposure for new entrepreneurs and connects them to leading advisors and capital. Winners receive a prize package of cash and professional services and make invaluable connections.
Thirteen semi-finalists will present at a Fast Pitch event on October 2, 2014. Five finalists and the winner will be announced on October 23, 2014.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must have a female co-founder, president, CEO or majority shareholder and must be a growth company that has not yet secured professional funding. Revenue is not required but the company must be past the idea stage.
How to Apply
Interested applicants may apply online via the Chick Launcher Application. The deadline is September 1, 2014. There is no fee to apply.

Chick Launcher delivers invaluable connections between entrepreneurs and a network of leading professional women. Chick Launcher judges and advisors represent LA’s leading businesswomen, including CEOs, CFOs, board members, investment bankers, VCs, attorneys, fund managers and successful entrepreneurs.
2013 Success Stories
Last year marked the inaugural Chick Launcher competition. Some success stories include:
- Winner Lola Getts Active received $56,000 in cash and professional services and gained two advisors.
- YouTube star concert promotion company DigiTour Media was discovered by Advance Publications at the Fast Pitch competition, resulting in a strategic partnership and multi-million dollar funding from Advance and Ryan Seacrest.
Chick Launcher Networking and Educational Opportunities
Leading up to the October 2nd Fast Pitch competition, Chick Launcher is hosting a series of educational events hosted by our sponsors (so no fees for the entrepreneurs!).
We are also hosting a half-day seminar on October 2nd in conjunction with the Fast Pitch competition, including:
- Networking and buffet lunch
- Panel discussions: Access to Capital Panel, Investors Panel and CEO Panel
- Chick Launcher competition semifinalists pitch their companies to judges
- Breakout Sessions hosted by sponsors (schedule available in August)
