Anne Flannery is currently President of Out Loud Ventures and Director of the Syracuse University Sport & Human Performance Initiative. She is a sports entrepreneur with over 25 years in the sports industry at the Women’s Sports Foundation, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and Spalding, where she helped found the WNBA. Her last startup exited to a consortium of food & beverage companies, including Coke, Pepsi, General Mills and Kellogg’s. As a student athlete at Syracuse University she was captain of the women’s basketball team and a Regional Academic All-American. After a career as a professional athlete in Europe was cut short by injury, Anne began the journey to her post-athletic career, including being a founding member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. She is now leading a team at Syracuse University to position the university as a global leader in sports business, sports research and sport as cultural meaning.
