Best piece of investing advice: Capital alone isn’t going to get you anywhere.  Think of what you’re best at – what makes you singular – and present that one theme to the founders with whom you work.  Tell them to call you when they need help with your subject matter expertise. This will help you build a brand AND add value to companies who are pressed for time. Terrific generalist “jack of all trades” investors are rare, but singular investors are sought after.
